Here are two more new icons for couple factions: the Roman Goddesses and the Unholy Trinity. I don't know that either faction ever exactly had a lot of members. However, on the old website for the Knights of the Cross, there was one person who professed a primary affiliation for the Roman Goddesses.

I think, after this post, I'll be sufficiently caught up on couple factions that I can go back to doing more of a mixed bag from now on. In truth, I have several more icons that are ready—even one or two that I've been holding on to for a few weeks now. It's just that I don't want to overwhelm people with too many at once!

Roman Goddesses:

The Roman Goddesses are the faction for people who are intrigued by the possibility of a relationship between LaCroix and Urs. (You'll recall that he describes her as "an innocent goddess", when Nick asks him who she is.)

I decided to go with a Roman theme for the icon, and picked a mosaic to serve as background. However, I needed some focal point (other than the pictures of the two characters, that is): something that would symbolize the relationship between the two. From another mosaic, therefore, I trimmed out a picture of a satyr pursuing a nymph.

Although getting everything to fit together presented a few problems, I think the trickiest part was finding a colour scheme for the logo so that it would be legible against the multi-coloured background.

Unholy Trinity:

The Unholy Trinity are Nick, LaCroix, and Natalie—the latter two of whom are, of course, profoundly antipathetic towards either other throughout the series. Nevertheless, there are certainly those who see potential for a more sympathetic relationship, generally by turning Natalie to the "dark" side. (The General has millennia of inertia keeping him on his chosen course.)

Like the icon I made for the Dark Trinity, this required the use of three different screen captures. This time, I arranged them triangularly around a faction symbol—once again, created by combining motifs relating to each of the characters.

The Unholy Trinity symbol is dominated by the wings of Natalie's caduceus—the same one that I used in the NatPack icon. However, this time I split it apart: the wings are behind the sword that represents Nick, upon which is superimposed the Cousins symbol for LaCroix (this time in copper). And I then took the twined snakes of the caduceus, and laid them on top of the cross fleury.

((For the correct name of the fleur-de-lys cross symbol used for the Cousins, I am indebted to someone who commented to my last post.)
