So...about those factionless affiliations. Why not? Just because people weren't inspired to create them back then is no reason not to add them to the roster now. Every faction has to begin somewhere—and inspiration can strike any time.

For example: all I did was make a post here on my blog, and immediately [livejournal.com profile] hearts_blood came back with the name that she's always felt to be the right one for a faction for Daniel, the Cockney boy from the flashback to "Father Figure". The FORKNI-L post I made also got an immediate reaction from Brenda B., who had the name for the Nick & Schanke faction. How can one argue against such promptitude? Clearly, they must be right.

Add in a couple of factions that were equally obvious to me, and......here's the first installment. )

When I was looking over the icons I've already made in order to decide which ones merited enlarging, I was struck again by something that had bothered me about the icons for the Twilight Knighties and Knights de Soir—namely the transition between sunset and night sky in relation to the CN Tower. In making the icons originally, I had vacillated between placing the latter down the transition (which looks best at the top) or clear of the glinting sun (which looks best lower down).

It occurred to me that, in cleaving strictly to a vertical division between the two skies at the top of the icon, I was limiting the options. If, instead, I shifted diagonally, I could have both.

So here are the revised icons:
