One of the problems with coming in so far after the fact is simply that I wasn't there. That is why I like to ask on list whether people know anything about the more obscure faction names I turn up. (Mind you, some turn out to be so obscure that no one can remember them.)
While I quite understand why no one seems to have saved the earliest years of FORKNI-L (for computer space was like gold back then), it is a great pity that the complete archives go back only to 2000, and thus miss the days when the fandom was at its height. It's lucky, really, that we have any posts from 1996.
